In a culture shaped by radical individualism, many believe faith can thrive in isolation—private, personalized, and disconnected. Yet in Matthew 16:13–18, Jesus makes a bold and enduring declaration: “I will build my church.” Not a movement of lone believers. Not a digital substitute. A church. This message explores why the church still matters, what Jesus is building it for, and why there is no alternative plan for God’s redemptive work in the world. Rooted in worship and witness, the church is not an event to attend but a people to belong to.
