Frequently Asked Questions
What are your weekend services like?
Our Sunday morning services are intended to be a celebration of God’s goodness. We know that everyone comes from a variety of backgrounds and we are all at different places in our spiritual journey. We want you to feel comfortable here. If you are visiting, simply come as you are and relax. We will do all we can to help you feel welcomed!
What will happen the first time I visit?
When you visit, we will not embarrass you or have you stand up in the service. We recognize that many people prefer to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, pick up a free coffee, and see if this is the church home for you. On your way out after the service, stop by our Get Connected wall to meet our pastors and grab your free welcome gift!
What about my children?
We strive to be intentionally generational in all that we do and you will see this reflected in our service experience. Your children are a top priority to us. Our children’s facilities are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers who have completed a background check. We offer a robust children’s ministry called Redeemer Kids on Sundays. If your child is in kindergarten through 5th grade, they will begin with you in the main service for a time of worship together as a family. Then, they will be released and escorted by our Redeemer Kids team to enjoy a message and activities designed for their age group! They will be escorted back into the main sanctuary to join you for communion after the message.
Do you have small groups that meet?
Our small groups, called rGroups, are a great way to connect with others and grow spiritually. They are organized by location so there is a group for everyone, no matter where you live. Most of our rGroups meet for 10 weeks in the Spring and 10 weeks in the Fall. This semester format is what we refer to as the “life cycle”. Learn more about rGroups by clicking below!
What type of worship will there be?
Redeemer is a convergence congregation. This means during our worship on Sundays, you will find a blend of historical hymns and contemporary worship songs. We often engage in various creative expressions of worship as well, like corporate prayers of the people, liturgies, and special musical guests.
How long are your weekend services?
The Sunday service will last approximately 75 minutes.
What should I wear?
You’ll find people dressed in everything from casual clothes like jeans and a t-shirt to a nicer outfit like a suit and tie. No matter how you dress, you’re sure to see someone dressed like you, so come in what is comfortable to you and let’s worship together.
Do you meet at the church during the week?
Our Midweek gathering on Wednesdays provides an opportunity for us to come together as a community, share a meal, and grow closer to God. Midweek begins with a catered dinner for $5 per person at 6:30pm. At 7:15pm, gatherings begin for every age. This includes rKids (birth-5th), rStudents (6-12th), Special Nation, and our adult class in the main sanctuary. We would love to see you at Midweek!
Can I watch your sermons online?
Yes! Our sermons can be viewed on our YouTube platform, in the Redeemer Church App, or by clicking the button below. We pray that as you watch, you encounter God and are inspired by His Word!

Sunday Service Details
Before Service
When you arrive, you will be greeted by our parking team as you pull in. At the main entrance, our greeters will welcome you and our host team will be ready to show you around if you’d like a tour. Of course, you’re more than welcome to find your own way around and take your time getting to know our facility. Please make yourself right at home and visit the Get Connected wall with any questions!
Blessing of the Kids
After a few songs of worship, one of our pastors will lead us in a blessing over our kids. This will be shown on the screens and we will all pray it aloud together. After this blessing, the pastor will release all K-5th grade kids to have a great time in rKids. Our rKids team will be at the back of the sanctuary to escort your kids. As the kids leave, we will take a few seconds to greet each other. This is a brief chance to say hello to those around you. If you’d prefer to stay in your seat, please do.
Message
After the giving moment, our Lead Pastor, or occasional guest speaker, will come to the stage and speak a life-giving message inspired by and grounded in God’s Word. You’ll receive scripture passages and practical points that you can apply to your own life or situation. All scriptures and points will be shown on the screens, so it will be easy for you to follow along and get the most of out of the message! If you forget your Bible and would like one, please take one from the resource table in the back of the sanctuary. It’s our gift to you! After the message, we’ll have an opportunity to respond with singing before we celebrate Communion together.
Announcements
Before we end of the service, you will hear about upcoming events and how you can get more involved. They will also invite any guests to stop by the Get Connected wall on the way out to meet our pastors and receive your free welcome gift!
Worship
Our services begin with a time of praise and worship. During this time of music, most people will stand. Please do not feel obligated to stand if you prefer to stay seated or are physically unable to – that’s okay! We express our worship through the raising of our hands, clapping, dancing, kneeling, or going up front to the altar to pray and connect with God. The altar is always open.
Giving Moment
During this time, you will be invited to give tithes and offerings. Giving is a biblical act of worship that we engage in every weekend. There are multiple ways you can give, including cash/check in an offering envelope, a QR code that will be on-screen, and through our church app. We know God will receive our tithes and offerings as an act of worship. Before we end the giving moment, we will take time to pray for another church in our city. This is one way we stay fully dedicated to unity!
Communion
Celebrating the sacrament of communion is central to our entire worship experience. We celebrate communion every Sunday. Our ushers will make sure you have pre-packaged elements and we will consume these together during the liturgy. At the end of the liturgy, we will stand together to pray the Lord’s Prayer or Nicene Creed. Then, we will stand for the remainder of our response song.
Closing Blessing
Our services conclude with a priestly blessing (from Numbers 6:23-27) by one of our pastors. As he prays this over you, receive it for you and your family.
